Message from our GK
Brother Knights,
It is my honor to have the opportunity to serve as our council's Grand Knight. Our council serves the communities of Comber, Saint Joachim, Stoney Point and the surrounding areas in southwestern Ontario.
As Knights of Columbus, it is our duty to serve both our church and our communities based on the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. Through our faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, we are given the strength to bring our principles to life and to be leaders of faith and leaders in our communities. Some of our council's works that support our mission include coats for kids, donations to local food banks and a Good Friday fish fry, to name a few. It is never too late to get involved and we are always looking for new members to help us continue forward and to grow our works. After all, the more who get involved, the more we can do to serve God and our fellow human beings.
I'd like to challenge everyone who reads this, to go out and lead by example, so that we can show what can be achieved when we look out for, help and serve one another.
Vivat Jesus!
GK Danny Grignion
Who We Are
The Knights of Columbus is a service organization of Catholic men who dedicate themselves to promoting charity, unity and family life. The Council 8783 supports a wide variety of programs in the community.
General meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at Visitation Parish.
If you are 18 years of age or older and are a practicing Catholic gentleman, you are exactly what we are looking for to be a new member of the number one council in Ontario of the Knights of Columbus. The Knights of Columbus here at Visitation Parish are composed of Catholic men such as yourself who are seeking ways to meet new fellow brothers and to assist the parish and surrounding community.
We are a strong bond of brothers who work hand in hand to support the needy of the community and the parish. Our first principle of charity is very important to us. We would be happy to show you exactly what we do as Knights and walk you through the three simple steps to knighthood. We would love nothing better than to have you as a fellow brother knight at Visitation Parish. The fraternal brotherhood is amazing and we have a great time together.
